The death of someone special changes us forever. We need a safe place to grieve. And we need people around us to encourage and support us as we journey through the loss we feel; people who have felt the sting of separation and who know that there is hope for a better tomorrow. That’s why there is GriefShare.
Each week, for thirteen weeks, a small number of people meet under the guidance of group facilitators. Together they watch a video, are reminded of lessons learned from the workbook each participant is given, and they share in a guided conversation relating to the issues raised in that weeks video.
Folks are welcome to join the group at any point along the way. There is no need to wait for a new 13 week cycle to begin. There is no cost to participate or for the workbook. GriefShare is open to all who have experienced loss through death. All are welcome whether they are religious or non-religious or of different religious backgrounds. No one is compelled to speak at the meetings but all are welcome to do so.
GriefShare is sponsored in Trail by: Trail Alliance Church 3365 Laburnum Drive. This program is now completed. Another session will be available on January 23rd, 2019.
Please join with us as we travel together on that journey through grief back to a place of comfort, even joy.
I hope that you will consider coming.
